Saving energy in your home is not just a question of better insulation. A new, more efficient boiler can save you enough money to pay for itself in less than four years. But there are little things that you can do to save energy (and save money).
- Turn the thermostat down a little. Just a couple of degrees cooler and you can find that the cost of heating your home drops significantly.
- If you have a hot water storage tank, putting an inexpensive jacket on it can save money by trapping the heat inside.
- Insulating hot water pipes does the same throughout your home.
- If you are doing a fairly dramatic renovation, or having an extension built, it may be worth considering underfloor heating, which is a more efficient way of heating your home than radiators.
Bramshaw Heating and Plumbing are Gas Safe registered heating engineers who can carry out installation and boiler repairs in Cullompton and across Devon.
